A few months ago two good friends of my fiancé and I got engaged. Having just popped the question myself a couple months earlier, I knew the happiness and excitement they were feeling. It's an amazing feeling making that step, knowing you've found the person you want to spend the rest of your life with. I couldn't be any happier for my friends, as we support each other in planning our own subsequent weddings. I wanted to do a session to capture their young love. Had a really quick session yesterday in Downtown Long Beach. We shot for no longer than 25 minutes. Very casual look to this shoot. Uyen contacted me through Model Mayhem and we'd been trying to set something up for weeks. We made a point to shoot even if our time was limited. Here are some of the images from yesterday.

Rock the Bay Benefit Concert 2011

Hey everyone. A very good friend of mine organized a concert to benefit the Wilmington Teen Center. All proceeds from the show and raffle have been donated in an effort to help teens in the Keystone group reach a financial goal to attend a leadership event in Florida. Everyone had a great time and the bands rocked. I offered to photograph the event. Lighting was extremely tricky in this venue and band members usually don't stay still long enough for you to focus and compose properly. Baby Jianna

Last week my fiancé's brother and wife had their second child together. Jianna is the first girl born into the family and everyone's been extremely excited. It's amazing seeing the miracle of life through a newborn child. I offered to take some infant portraits so the parents could have images they can cherish as baby's quickly grow up.
